After selecting the phone number that you wish to be called back at, CBV will
hang up on you. Within 15 seconds or so, CBV will call the phone number that
you specified. Please note that you will be called back by MODEM, and NOT
VOICE.
When you hear your phone ring, and/or the word RING appears on your screen,
quickly type 'ATA' in all caps and press <Enter>. Your modem should pick up,
and you'll hear the connection process begin. After the modems have
connected, the screen will update, and your security level will be upgraded.
CBV will make a total of three (3) attempts to call you back. If for some
reason the CBV process fails, your security level will remain unvalidated,
and you will need to complete the process at a later date.
Users that are calling long distance cannot be validated. The sysop will
validate these callers by hand as soon as possible, and until that time,
those users will have access to nearly all the system functions.
